In times of trouble, alliegences can be made, but they are as easily broken as they are created, and one betrayed trust can lead to panic and chaos... and ruins of Clans. Forbidden relationships send sparks flying as friendships are made and broken, and jealousy and friendships begin to take first priority over loyalty to their own Clans. Leaders, medicine cats, warriors, and even the smallest kits become crazy, sent into self-denial by StarClan's prophecy's and the Twoleg's advance of science, even against the protests of animal rights activists. It's the feeling of being paranoid and the trying times they're in that connect the four Clans to an extent that even they can't imagine... a poison that wraps around them and blinds them from what's actually true... and a fog that blurs the true emotions of life, love, and peace within the Clans.

In the last update posted here, Snowy said that we were dying. I think that now, two months later, we're [pretty much] dead. So please, please visit this thread. And post your thoughts on why you agree or disagree. It's a suggestion, and I really want to know what you all think. I don't want the wfrp family to drift apart. <3

Snowy made a sad but true thread that got right to the point. We're dying, if not dead already.
However old you were when you joined wfrp, hasn't life gotten busier since then?
I don't blame members for going inactive. So when I say this next part, don't think I'm angry or holding a grudge. Because I think that their life is probably even busier than mine.
As well as members, some of the staff have gone inactive. Shadow is and has been part of the wfrp family, so while we decided it was only fair to drop one of her titles, we could never delete her account. And I bet our beloved Wild has been caught in the rush of school and responsibility as well.
Very few members are getting on. Maybe it's the lack of activity from other members that caused them to go. Because few members are getting on, it's hard to make a plot that can be carried out. Maybe we aren't catching the interest of people who aren't members.

I've thought about this for a while; since before my hard drive quit. It's just a suggestion, but I think it is one of few ways to keep the rest of the wfrp family together while drawing in new members.
My idea is to leave wfrp open, but make a new roleplay site. We could make a banner and put it at the top of the site that says something like 'We have moved here: ...". We could all leave our accounts open on wfrp and check on it, but on this new site we could develop a new skin and plot and not have to wait for any of our inactive cats on here to post, especially those with high positions.
Also in the banner stating that we had 'moved', we could put a note to Wild explaining that we would never close her site and still checked on it sometimes. We could give the reasons I've put in this post; that we thought we could stay together in a new site while keeping an active roleplay, and we didn't want to run wfrp without her with us. If she does come back to wfrp, we would all still be here and ready to roleplay with her in charge. On the new site we could put a message that says why wfrp had moved and gave a link to wfrp, asking our members to create accounts on wfrp as well if Wild were to come back and the site become active.
If we wanted to wait a little while to see if we do become active before making a new site, we could always wait until a time we have days off, like Winter break. If our luck still hadn't changed for the better, we cold discuss this again.

I know it would be a big step. I'm not ready to leave wfrp which is why we would leave the site open along with our current accounts. I just want to have an active roleplay and plot alongside all of you as well as new, devoted members.

I'm not ready, either. This site has changed my life dramatically; it's taught me to just be myself. I felt comfortable here, like I could be myself; something I couldn't really do in real life, and now I can. Like, I'm not afraid to admit that yes, I like the Jonas Brothers, yes, I read books about talking cats, and yes, I'm different than everyone else. It's taught me to be proud of that.
And no, I'm not just saying that. I'm telling the honest truth.
I think a new site would be great. Sorta like version two of wfrp, except... newer. We could think of a new name, a new plot, new everything... maybe it doesn't even have to be warriors. I know a lot of people here like wolves, but yet again, I'm not quite sure how to role-play them... starting over. A clean slate.
By the way, while I'm thinking about it -- Shadow and Wild are both very much alive, last time I checked. (As I'm typing this, Wild's on IM and Shadow was maybe about a half hour ago.) But we're all inactive, it's not just them, and it's just not working out. I mean, between homework and such... no one has time.
I think we should start a new site and take it slow. New plot, new everything... advertise like crazy and see where that gets us.
I'm not ready to leave, either. But I think it's time that an active role-play was started again as well.

I've never roleplayed anything but cats, or Warriors to be more specific. I'd love to try a different animal, like a wolf or horse or even a stray dog.
I didn't mean to single anyone out. Yes, we're all inactive. And I understand that wfrp isn't the first site anyone logs into when they get on the computer.
We definitely need to advertise like crazy for a new site. We need a great layout and detailed plots and descriptions for it, too. I really want to be a member of an active roleplay.

I feel absolutely horrible posting this.. trust me it just kills me. I won't be able to get on another role-play site. I'm going to give my honest opinion, and please don't discourage me for it. I think that making a new role play, yes, it will create a clean slate, but will that really change the activity of our lives? I mean the reason I haven't been able to come on is because I'm so busy. Four hours a day at the barn plus homework and school... I just don't have the time that I used to. I'm thirteen, and qualified to take my SAT's and ACT's this year. I have to study, all the time now. I also have to study to get back into my college prep. high school. I just don't have the time anymore, and I know I'm not alone. I hate saying it, but I've lost the kid in me. I've matured so much, and most of the time I honestly wish I hadn't. I can't keep role-playing, even though I wish I could.
Having said this, I don't want this to get in the way of keeping in touch with any of you. I remember that Golden, Shadow and I made gmail accounts quite a while ago. Maybe for the people in my situation, we could all make aim accounts(you do not have to have an apple computer, which many people think, or download anything either.) I'm soo sorry i haven't been on in forever and a day. I hate to agree that wfrp died...but it did. And it's partially my fault for not staying active like i should have. To be honest, school is kicking my butt, and any free time i have it spent either doing homework or going out to get my mind off of school!
The last thing i want to do is lose the family. Believe me. That's like, after getting hit by a truck on my list of things not to do.
Obviously i love the site. Obviously i love you all. But i'm not sure about RPing anymore. I'm just...I never was the most active RPer to begin with, and i don't think i could become any more active even if we had a clean slate to work with. If you guys wanna make a new site for roleplaying, be my guest! Use anything from wfrp, since you guys practically did everything for the site anyway, but i don't think i would end up joining, as terrible as that makes me feel :/ I don't think i'd ever be active enough.
Sometimes no matter how long or hard you've loved someone, they won't ever love you back. No matter how much it hurts you have to be okay with that, because the people who love us shape our lives just as much as those who refuse to love us.

No. Making a roleplay wouldn't change the activity of our lives, but coming upo with something new and itneresting might draw in active members. So when we could get on, we would have someone to roleplay with.
And Silent, sad as it may be, I have to agree with you. I think we've all matured, and have realized that as much as we wish it wouldn't, what we do now will affect the rest of our lives. School's important. We're all different. To be honest, a reason I want to start roleplaying again is because I want to get the kid in me back. And now that our school's volleyball season is over, I want to try to find time to roleplay until I start two other volleyball programs.
Wild, I'm so glad to see you. <3 Don't act like this is your fault. When I said that some of the staff had gone inactive, I wasn't singling out you and Shadow. I'm in there as well. If we make a new site, I'll miss everyone who doesn't join, but hey, we wouldn't be leaving wfrp. So maybe I won't have to. (:
I don't want to lose any of you. I don't want to quit roleplaying. I don't have time to write complete stories, so roleplaying is my window to writing.

You know, I hate to say it, but it's true.
I, myself, haven't been active here in... months, really. When was the last time I posted a role-post, typed up a new cat character - ages.
We age. We change.
But some things.....
Some things, we have to cherish.
....
It's funny. When you get down to it, everything in life is so... un-permanent. We think it's always going to be there, but...
A lot of it is going to be gone one day, so we need to enjoy it, enjoy life while we can. Every day, we need to go outside and climb that tree, or swing in the park, or read our favourite books...
Because one day, that tree will have fallen or be chopped, that swing, that park will be the site of a new development... and those books will just be gathering dust up in some attic, long forgotten.
It's things like that that really affect you. And wfrp is, in a way, one of those things.
I still role-play, each and every day. It's my thing. I'm thirteen, I've got one wild and precious life to use, and this is how I choose to use it at this time. Maybe it's... different for me, 'cause I don't go to school or have any formal education. So what? I'm still human.
Okay, now I'm getting off-topic and starting to monologue. Blech.
Anyway.
I don't know if I'll still be here in a month.... two months... by the end of the year. If you do decide to create a new site... hey, I'm in. I don't think I'd actually role-play or anything (though, you never know....), but I'll certainly help out. :3

I'm starting to feel bad that I've been reading this thread since Golden started it and haven't even added anything to it. So here is my contribution, however simple it might be.
I've never been the best with words, but I feel like I've become since coming to wfrp. Just as Golden said, roleplaying is my way of writing without having to write an actual story.
And so I fear that I will not be able to describe what I need to in these words that I type. But it will have to be enough, because this is all I can do.
I miss everyone from wfrp. We were a family. I miss the days of staying up until 3 AM with you guys, the days of talking about spray cheese and the newest jonas brothers CD. It's like losing a best friend, but worse.
It's true that we're all older, that we're all more mature, and that we're all busier, but it's also true that we all love this site and everyone on it. We'll always be able to keep in touch if we want to, I'm glad about that. I really don't want to ever forget any of you.
If we do create a new RP site, I'd probably join, just for the fun of it, but if not, that's okay too. I just want the fun of wfrp to live on.

I am incredibly sad that wfrp is dead. You are all my family, and that will never, EVER change.
We are ALL maturing, including me. I don't want to mature any more, but that's life. I'm now a "young woman," as my mom likes to phrase it. RPing was, and still is a big part of my life. It's just that I no longer have the time to do it as often as I did. It's horribly depressing, but it's true.
I think that starting a new role-play site is a very good idea, and more than cats would be wonderful. It could be any animal actually. We could still have cats; but having wolves, dogs, horses, birds...spray cheese... JK. But seriously. If you guys decided to make this new site, I would gladly join!
I love you all and I hope we never lose contact with eachother. If getting an AIM or whatever is how I will keep in touch with all of you, so be it. I'll do it!

Okay.
I know you guys haven't seen me around here in a while.
I feel like a stranger to the site now. Everything in my world is changing and I hate it. I'm really not doing too well in high school. I like my classes, sure. I hate the people. I'm one of those people who hates feeling like I have to grow up, and I haven't actually met anyone else who feels like that.
Now I know this is going to sound awfully weird, but I still play littlest pet shop with my sister. That's what my allowance money goes to, almost every week. It's my link to being a kid, and I can't even tell anyone about it.
WFRP was a big part of my life. It still is. I have amazing friends here that I would have died without. I hope everyone feels the same about me.
I know I can be a little annoying and pushy, but that's just the way I am. I'm sorry if I've ever done anything annoying to you.
I want to keep in touch with every one of you.
Personally, and I hate saying this, but I think starting a new roleplay isn't going to help. It's not going to take away from how busy our lives are. We still have school, extracurriculars, and everything else. If you want to start a new one, go ahead. I can't promise I'll join. Even saying that makes me want to cry.
I've lost so much in this past year and a month I've been on WFRP. The same week I first joined was when I started liking Dune. Look where he's gotten me.
I really hate this, but I have no choice but to leave. I don't want to stick around only to disappoint.

I spent that last fifteen minutes typing up some long, drawn out post. But it's full of negatives, and when I'm sure the day has come for my little bit of free time, I'll post it. But until then I want to stay hopeful.

Thanks Silent. (: I ended up getting it, but it took a while. When I'd put in a screen name it would say I couldn't use any symbols, but I hadn't. That text would overlap with the Password field, and then it would freeze. It was fine after restarting it.
Anyway, I edited it into my post. StayGoldenAlways.
